Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way saw the first moments of Jihoon and Deavan’s baby’s life. He arrived two weeks earlier than his due date. On that day, Jihoon witnessed his baby’s birth via video chat because he got stuck in South Korea. Now he is a year old and it’s been tough for the family in the past few months. The family have been in quarantine for much longer than other cast members because South Korea saw an earlier outbreak of Coronavirus.

Jihoon and his wife shared a couple of adorable messages, wishing their son a happy birthday.Jihoon shared a pix from Taeyang’s “dolijanchi” party- a Korean tradition to celebrate a child’s first birthday. It is done to bless the child with a prosperous future. The one-year-old looks cute in his traditional garb.
Deavan shared some baby pictures and some recent pictures and captioned the post with, “I can’t believe my little man is already 1 years old,” She said, “I love you so much”.

In a Korean tradition that they practiced on Taeyang Scuti’s birthday, his parents may have found out what he will be when he is older. The tradition is called “dolijabi” and it is referred to as the “highlight” of their child’s first birthday. During the tradition, about 6-8 objects are placed in front of the Korean child. The item (or two items) the child picks up represents their lifestyle or profession in future. Deavan said Taeyan picked a microphone and a ball, so this probably means he will have passion for music and sports.
