But according to the show boss, Alon Orstein there is one particular moment that took him by surprise and that one moment happens to be one of his biggest 90 Day Fiancé regret.
Orstein also said the machete attack with Karine and Paul in Brazil was a shocking moment on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. One moment on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way was a real shocker for him. It was the moment the TLC camera never captured.

“I will say for us, and maybe because it’s just still fresh in mind, but when we found out that Sumit was married, that really caught us off guard. And I remember vividly where I was in the office when I heard about it and talking about it on the phone with our production partners, Sharp. It was definitely a moment,” the 90 Day Fiancé boss said.
The viewers of the show never saw Jenny, who had traveled to India to spend time with Sumit find out he had a wife the whole time, and this was because TLC cameras were not following the couple. According to Orstein, cameras were not following them full time, and it was more restricted because they were filming in another location.
“So, we quickly scrambled a crew and got them out there because we thought it was a very relevant and important part of the story to tell, provided everyone was still OK participating and telling that story. And that definitely was probably one of the most shocking moments, at least in recent memory on the franchise,” Orstein said. Reality star, Jenny recount how her fiance’s father knocked on the door and called Sumit’s wife and family so he could confront them.
Orstein said it is probably one of 90 Day Fiancé crew biggest regrets. He said they regretted not having a camera crew present in India at that time. He pointed out that the occurrence might have been played out otherwise if 90 Day Fiancé cameras were present. He said things like that happened in every TV show. He stated that when they came in right on any situation’s heels, they tried their best to ensure that they tell the story in a way that the viewers still get the full gist about what happened.
