TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days’ spoilers finds that from the first time I saw that friend of Geoffrey Paschel I knew that would be the one he was going to end up with. The reason I knew this is because she, apparently, is the girl that’s hung in there the longest. She was rather indignant when he insisted on going overseas to ‘find a russian bride’ as it were, and wondered why on earth he wasn’t looking closer to home, or rather, looking directly across the table from himself at her. But she let Geoffrey go and didn’t cling to his leg as he left for the airport (as I halfway expected her to do, honestly) and she let him do his thing with Varya and get it out of his system.

As we all know, Varya rejected Geoffrey’s proposal, or rather, told him that she didn’t want to get married just yet. Geoffrey interpreted this as a full-on rejection and decided to throw in the towel and go on back to Tennessee. On instagram recently he had been talking about how he had no one to spend quarantine with, so I guess that’s how Mary got involved in the picture again. It would totally make sense if Mary came over to spend quarantine with Geoffrey and one thing led to another and now they’re together.

Another clue that these two were going to end up together is the fact that Mary was the one that Geoffrey contacted the second that he and Varya started having trouble. I get that she was his best friend and probably the one woman who had known him the longest and maybe, perhaps, the only one whom he could call while he was in Russia due to the time difference, but there was also probably a deeper reason as to why Geoffrey contacted Mary. He had previously said that they had tried to have a relationship before and it just “wasn’t time for them”, I guess that it since Varya had told him “not now”, he decided it was time.

But was this premature on Geoffrey’s part? It could be argued that it was because Varya, even after she rejected his initial marriage proposal, was even suggesting places in Russia that they could go back to if he ever came back. Geoffrey told her “Why would I ever come back here?” I mean, did he honestly think after the bombs that he dropped on her that she would accept his initial proposal? Hah! Fat chance, Geoffrey. She had also said that she would never marry a man her family didn’t like, and her family definitely did not like Geoffrey, so it’s not like she lied there.

So Geoffrey made his way home to Tennessee and ultimately to Mary, to the girl next door. As far as we know, Mary knows every bit of Geoffrey’s past and is okay with it. As far as we know, Mary’s family is perfectly okay with Geoffrey, and Geoffrey doesn’t have to spend time apart from his sons and/or bankrupt himself to be with Mary. There will be no awkward introductions between her and Geoffrey’s sons because I’m pretty sure they already know each other. Everything about this love affair makes sense, whereas Geoffrey and Varya was a little bit far-fetched. Geoffrey and Varya are not going to be on the Before the 90 days tell-all, probably because they broke up and will not be moving forward with their relationship so we will probably never know what the real story with Geoffrey and Mary is… but we here at DSD will keep our eyes peeled on his live for news.
