TLC 90 Day Fiancé spoilers: Before the 90 Days finds that,now, we’ve all been very cynical about Yolanda and her relationship with ‘Williams’ or ‘The Williams’ as it comes up on caller ID. But at the end of the day, some part of you has to feel sorry for Yolanda because let’s face it, she did not sign on for this. I don’t know what her and Williams talk about on a day to day basis but it looks like he has her snowed, hook, line, and sinker. I don’t know if this is just Yolanda being naive or what, but it looks like she has bought everything he has told her. From his britsh nationality, to his pictures, to him telling her he lives in Manchester… everything, and I can’t help but feel like he took advantage of a very lonely woman at a really vulnerable time.
Snark all you like at Yolanda doing this for the cash or whatever, but I don’t think that she’s a bad person even if she did. I also don’t think that she deserved to be catfished to this level. I mean, my question to Williams is, what was he going to do once he got her to the airport? Was he even going to show up? Was he going to kidnap her? Use her as a courier for potentially stolen goods? What was he going to do? Nigeria is known for scams and while I certainly don’t want to label Nigerians as scammers because that seems to be the unfavorable stigma going around, I also don’t want to come off as purely naive and pretend that he had Yolanda’s best interest at heart because if he did, I don’t think all of this would have happened.
TLC 90 Day Fiancé Spoilers: Before the 90 Days – Yolanda deserves better
First off, he claimed his instagram got hacked and he claimed that when he went to open it it wouldn’t open. But could that have been because the fitness model that he was using as his pictures actually found them and had the account shut down? There’s an idea. Maybe the model saw the show and didn’t want to be associated with it so he contacted instagram and told them that the poster was using his pics in an unauthorized manner and that would cause instagram to shut an account down. That would be one reason why his account is shut down, of course if he checked his email he might know these things but Williams doesn’t strike me as the type of guy to be all that thorough.
Yolanda is still determined to give him the benefit of the doubt, she’s still determined to go and try to meet him but I think at this point Yolanda needs to cut her losses and run. His number, his true number, leads to a Nigerian student organization. Which means he is not who he says he is at all, he’s not some beautiful instagram model, he’s probably a poor Nigerian student trying to scam money from what seems to be a nice lady. I’m not saying he can’t be Nigerian and be real, but if he is real, why is he pulling all of this shady stuff? If he wants to be seen as serious then he needs to step up and be serious.
Naive she may be, but ultimately, Yolanda deserves better. She was used to being with one man for a long time and she is used to people who don’t play games, at least not with her heart. She didn’t grow up in hookup culture but obviously she’s being played by someone who did and she’s fallen completely for him. I feel so bad for this woman, but she’s determined to see this through. I only hope that her better instincts kick in before it’s too late. Stay tuned!!!
