TLC ’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: ‘Before the 90 Days’ finds that Stephanie Matto AKA Stepanka has met her girlfriend, Erika Owens, who lives in Australia. They were at the nature preserve where Erika was taking photographs for work and during their outing, Stephanie had to take a pause to take her medication which is just.. a lot of medication, let me tell you. She was telling Erika that she has to take the medication in order to keep her alive and that if she even got a minor cold that she would have to go to the hospital. Erika found this news concerning but my question to Erika is, have you not watched her previous youtube videos?

Steph has made a lot of references to her illness, Aplastic Anemia in a lot of her videos. A lot of her 2017 video starting from the spring of 2017 onward was about her hospital stay and all about her treatment and how certain things could kill her if she was exposed to them. She had to give up her apartment in New York because of too many germs and basically stop going out anywhere for awhile. She had to move back in with her Mom who lived in Connecticut because that’s the state that provides health insurance. (Actually, I’m not sure on that but she went into detail about that in one of her videos, really.)

But that was in 2017. After Steph received treatment for her illness she has been free to travel since then, and travel she has, which is ironic because she told Erika that she hasn’t been able to go to too many places. I know at one point she contemplated a move to London before it all happened but after she got sick she had to scrap her plans to move there. But even so, she has been to the Czech Republic several times to visit family and has even been to other places (I can’t recall all of them right now) since her diagnosis so clearly it isn’t as dire as she’s saying as long as she keeps up her medications.

So.. why would she keep milking this narrative that she’s basically been a shut-in for these past 3 years when obviously she hasn’t. I mean, it doesn’t take a genius to go looking through her youtube videos and see that she’s obviously been placed and even does travel vlogs about them. If she and Erika have been talking for a year then she probably knows this, the question is, why isn’t she calling her out? I know that Australia has socialized medicine just like the UK, so could Stephanie maybe be jonesing for some free health care? That would be my only guess. Stay tuned!!!
