TLC 90 Day Fiance spoilers: Before the 90 Days finds that sometimes you just can’t outrun your past. That’s what seems to be happening to one of the cast of the upcoming season of Before the 90 days, Geoffrey Paschel of Tennessee is currently going to court to contend ongoing abuse allegations from his ex-girlfriend (not the one that will be with him on Before the 90 days obviously), whom he claims is just crying abuse in order to sabotage a custody battle with yet a third woman. What all does Geoffrey have to face down? These charges include aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, interference with emergency calls, and vandalism.
The identity of the woman has been kept confidential by Knox News, the source in Knoxville, because they do not give out abuse victim’s identities. (Smart move.) But the woman claims that this guy repeatedly bashed her head into the hardwood floors of her home, dragged her through the house by her hair and threw her into walls and furniture so hard that there were blood stains on these items in the aftermath! He went so far as to disabled her phone and she had to make it to a neighbors’ house to call 911.

The victim suffered a concussion that night, and Paschel was arrested. However this report is not where it ends. This happened on September 18th, and there have been other incidents of pushing, hitting, choking and otherwise verbally threatening her. She sough a temporary order of protection and was granted just that (thankfully!) There is a hearing set for next month, and Paschel still has a criminal case to show up for on the 26th of March.
He claims that all of this is not true, and that this is simply about child custody. As of right now, he refuses to comment on whether or not he is still involved with the Russian woman he is set to appear on Before the 90 Days with, Varya. Apparently he planned on going to Russia to propose to her but he first had to prove to her friends and family that he was indeed The One for her.
Since Before the 90 days has not aired yet, we can’t really speculate. We haven’t seen Varya, nor do we know what it looks like when they interact, but now that we know about these previous charges it will be interesting to see just how this relationship unfolds and if he displays any violent, controlling or abusive tendencies toward this girl that he’s supposed to be marrying. The thing is, sometimes during ‘courtship’ the abuser will act like a perfectly normal guy and the dark side only comes out when the two start living together or get married. For Varya’s sake, we can hope that this guy was wrongly accused… however we’re going to be giving Geoffrey a real strong side-eye. Stay tuned!!!
