TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ – Stephanie’s Secret Life
Ever since the show began, viewers have been unsure of Stephanie’s motives in being on the show. Many fans think that she could be trying to get fame from it all and that is the reason that she is acting this way on the show. Stephanie decided to let her fans a little closer by doing a question and answer session on Instagram. One fan flat out said that she had heard about her ex-boyfriend being Australian. Stephanie replied, “Yes, I dated another Aussie a while ago. No, we never intended on doing 90 days. Joked about it once because we both were reality tv buffs. It made no sense for us to do the show because we had no intention of getting married so instead I spent months and lots of money employing him under an E3 visa that I sponsored. It didn’t work out between us for many reasons. We went our separate ways.”

Stephanie has been making some waves on Instagram lately. Her latest post is a picture of her on her couch, with her dog. It reads, “I have shared a lot of my life on YouTube. I have shared some not so pretty things about myself and my choices and have gotten judgment for it, but there is something that I have done (and talked about in the past) that you may not be aware of and I’d like to share. Please keep an open mind. To some it may be strange, and honestly? I guess it is. Nonetheless, it is something I am pretty proud of. I never grew up with the money, I pretty much worked from the age of 16 doing jobs such as being a bus girl, waitress, receptionist, in retail, and the list goes on! However, when I turned 21 I found myself with an opportunity that could make me more money than I had ever seen. The ability to pay off school loans, my car, and give me money towards traveling was so tempting. At 21, I became an egg “donor”. This is before I acquired Aplastic Anemia, and at this time I was a perfectly healthy 21-year-old girl (my illness was not hereditary and was acquired in later years). The registry which I joined soon matched me with a same-sex couple from abroad. They were handsome, successful, and had all of the things one would want from life minus one thing: a child to love and raise. I knew at the time I was doing this for financial help, but the thought that I was also responsible for helping a couple become parents and forever change their lives was also pretty beautiful. I knew this wasn’t for everyone, but it felt right for me. In the following years, I was asked to donate a few more times and so I did, but this one couple touched me in a way that none other did. I see their child on Facebook, I see their vacation photos, I see the slight resemblances with this child that I share DNA with. Years later when I was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia, being able to have a child pretty much dissipated. But I still smile knowing that even though I may never be able to have a child of my own, I gave that opportunity and gift to people who really, truly deserved it. The money I made from donating my eggs is gone, but the happiness I have for these couples always remains.”
Her followers brought on the hate after she posted this. One wrote Nothing she says is true. Amping up sicknesses real people have that you don’t is a damn shame. Prove it. Just like everyone else on the internet all you do is lie to make gain followers.” There were many followers that praised her for making this choice. Want to see more of Stephanie?
