TikTok Video Sparks Outrage After A Waffle House Waitress Requested 'A Noose' In Front Of A Black Woman

A video on TikTok sparked huge outrage, as it showed a black mother complaining about the treatment that she and her family received by employees at ‘Waffle House’ during their time there.

TikTok Video Sparks Outrage After A Waffle House Waitress Requested ‘A Noose’ In Front Of A Black Woman

In the video here, we can see that the female customer is incensed by what has happened. According to her account, a female waitress had ‘asked for a noose’ right in front of her. Shortly after, the manager stated that he had ‘two nooses in his car.’

The customer did not take this lightly, given that she had her whole family there. And as the footage shows, her family was very diverse. Therefore, this raises the question of why these comments were made?

This is what the customer had to say about it all: “So I’m pretty…sure this is probably the [most] racist place I’ve ever been.”

The customer then requested the bill and demanded that she be given the phone number of the corporate office. In this way, it was clear that she was looking to file a complaint.

The video instantly went viral on TikTok with over 1.5 million views so far. Understandably, the comments on social media were heavily in favour of the customer at the expense of huge condemnation of the employees.

One person wrote: “Those were racially motivated death threats. File charges. If local pd isn’t responsive, get a lawyer,” while another remarked: “TikTok bout to get them! Unacceptable Waffle House!”

In response, Waffle House has vowed to get to the bottom of this. An investigation is already being carried out in order to determine exactly what happened.

If it does transpire that the employees did say those things, then there is a high chance that they could end up losing their job or face some serious disciplinary action. And the only way that the woman could get some closure from this incident is if someone was held accountable.

In an official statement, the company said: “We have reached out privately to the customer in an effort to gain more information about this incident. We intend to conduct a thorough investigation.”

We will have to see how it will play out. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish. Please also visit The Go To Family for all of the latest exciting news on all of your favourite daytime television soaps.
