Allison Rochell is an influencer on TikTok who recently married the love of her life. Isaac Rochell plays defense for the Indianapolis Colts and the couple was recently married. Allison wanted to share with her friends and family just how much they mean to one another, but the backlash that they received was crazy!
She decided to share a video of the many racist comments that they received when they told the world of their marriage. The comments are shocking and it is hard to believe that there are still people in this world who have this mindset. As Rochell put it, “A reminder that this still exists.”
TikTok: The Negative Comments
Some of the comments that the couple received were incredibly rude and racist. This is not what they expected at all and just wanted to share their love for one another online. In the background, we can see them at their wedding, and then Allison added in some pictures of the comments that were posted publicly on Instagram.
TikTok: Interacial Couple Gets Backlash on Instagram
The comments ranged from lines about “ending her bloodline by marrying a Black man” and people who said that her “ancestors are going to be poorly disappointed.” One comment used a gorilla emoji and then added “lover.”
The comments just kept going though. Another commented, “burn the coal, pay the toll.” One more added in, “Say NO to interracial marriages,” and “you won’t be smiling when he gives you a black eye.” They just kept getting worse too. Another comment read, “I think I’m gonna be sick.” “Mixing race is communist”,
Bloodline status: ENDED”, “Of all the good White men you can choose from, you chose to ruin yourself with that! WTF is wrong with you? Your children will hate you,” and “leave while you can. You have time to make your ancestors proud.”
The amount of racism in these comments is unreal. Not only did she get a few, but they are also all over her Instagram account and she thought that she would share them all with her TikTok fans. her fans are very angry by this and told her that they do support her no matter what. One fan wrote to her, “What is wrong with people?” Another wrote, “They’re all racist and it’s common. In fact, you probably know someone who holds racist beliefs. Which is why you should be discussing anti-racism with your family and friends.”
