‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers suggests that perhaps Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may need to start relying on the daughter he barely connects with. He may need to consider investing more time and energy into a relationship with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Focus on Victoria
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has been Victor’s right-hand woman. She is CEO of the company he founded, Newman Enterprises. They have similar goals and ambitions. Additionally, they understand each other well.
While they usually are in sync and run the company well together, they recently have had a disagreement of sorts.
Victor really wants his son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), the black sheep of the family, to return to the family company. Upon purposing this to his son, Adam said he would only return if Victor would give him Victoria’s job.
Knowing that he can’t take a job away from Victoria, Victor decides that he will try to acquire McCall Unlimited from Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). When he acquires the company, he will put it under Adam’s control.
McCall Unlimited has issues that Adam would have to try to fix. He would have a challenge ahead of him. Victoria is not interested in this at all. She doesn’t believe Adam belongs back at Newman and she had other plans for McCall Unlimited if they acquire the company. For once, Victoria and Victor don’t see eye to eye.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Other Daughter
On the whole, Victor has very little to do with Abby Newman. While he is her biological father, they really don’t cross paths much and don’t seem to have any kind of connection.
Recently when Victor popped in at Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) apartment to gauge his interest in buying McCall Unlimited from Tucker, he was surprised and stunned to see Abby coming down the stairs from the bedrooms only wearing Devon’s shirt.
Devon and Abby share a son because Devon was the sperm donor for Abby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). They also have been in a relationship, which has been painful for Chance and for Devon’s ex-girlfriend Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Obviously, Abby has influence on Devon. Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) dedicated the new jazz lounge at the Sports Club to Devon’s father, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). Upon this revelation, Devon decides to patch things up with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
This means that he will not be fighting the Chancellor-Winters merger. Victor hopes that this will keep Devon from buying McCall Unlimited. Perhaps Victor should seek to leverage Abby’s relationship with Devon more, so that he can get the outcome he wants for McCall Unlimited.
