‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that all that might take for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to perceive Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) differently may be a grape. Will it change her mind about Diane or will she suspect Diane of using that situation for her own gain?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nothing but Enemies
When Diane Jenkins reappeared in Genoa City after faking her death, Ashley Abbot was not happy to see her. She was even more unhappy with her brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) forgave Diane and started dating her.
In Ashley’s mind things got even worse when Jack asked Diane to move in with him and then married her. Then he even gave her a C-suite job, making her the Chief Talent Officer of Jabot without consulting Ashley or their brother Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) first.
Ashley hates Diane with a passion. She believes that Diane will ruin her brother’s life and will irreparably damage Jabot, the family company. She has done all she can to dissuade Jack from his path, even resorting to some underhanded moves with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). But, no matter what she tries, Diane is still in the picture.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Will A SINGLE Grape Be All It Takes Or Will Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) Suspect An Ulterior Motive?
At Society, Ashley and Diane begin arguing (as usual). Ashley pops a grape into her mouth but sends it back too far and it gets lodged in her throat. She begins choking, in a panic. Diane comes to her aid and gives her the Heimlich maneuver. She ends up dislodging the grape and saving Ashley’s life.
Ashley is stunned. She can’t believe that Diane would help her, when she is Diane’s sworn enemy. She returns home shaken and upset by the turn of events.
The question really is, will this help Ashley see that Diane really has not been out to get her? Will this grape help her begin to see Diane in a new light? Or will she just use it to come up with a new way to justify hating Diane? Maybe she will think that Diane only saved her in order to make Ashley indebted to her. What do you think?
