‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is not finished having interesting ideas for his new company, Adustus International. While his family supported his first idea, what will they think of his latest one and does it make any sense at all?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: New Company
Y&R’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has wanted Adam to work for him for quite a while but the two of them struggle to get along with each other.
Adam always feels that his father is on his back, demanding that Adam do things his way. When Adam has his own goals and ideas, the two of them usually clash and it can get ugly.
Adam did not want to return to Newman. Victor told him that he was going to take over a company for him to run, McCall Unlimited. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) wanted to fold McCall Unlimited into Newman Enterprises.
She doesn’t believe Adam can have success but believes he will destroy everything he controls. She decided that Newman Enterprises would not go after McCall Unlimited.
Victor ended up buying McCall Unlimited and he asked Adam to run it. Adam said he only would if he could have no interference from his father. He wanted to be able to do things his way. Victor begrudgingly agreed to let Adam give that a shot.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Decisions
While Victor said Adam could have free reign, he changed his tune when he saw that Adam was going to get poised to take over Newman Media. He refused to let Adam take over one of his subsidiaries and go to battle with his sister.
Victor told Adam that was not an option. He can only get the company into good shape and then it can be folded into Newman Enterprises.
Adam has made one decision so far that everyone agrees with. He has agreed to merge his new company, which he named Adustus International, with Sharon Newman Rosales’ (Sharon Case) new acquisition, Kirsten Incorporated.
This will help both companies and will create a strong conglomerate. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has agreed to join them.
The very strange offer that Adam made this week was a job offer to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). He asked her to consider coming on to work on the IT side of his business. Phyllis has just recently come back to town after faking her own death. Life for Phyllis and everyone around her has been pure chaos.
Why does Adam want a piece of that in his company? Why would he think Phyllis would be a good partner in his bid to improve his company? Is he looking to anger someone with this hire? What are your thoughts?
