‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) just got a big surprise. The question is, how will he react to or use this news to his advantage?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James)
Abby and Devon share a son together. When Abby was married to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), he was unable to father children because of an injury. Abby too was unable to carry children due to a previous miscarriage.
At that point, Devon Hamilton offered to be a sperm donor for the couple and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was the surrogate for them. When Chance and Abby divorced and Devon relationship with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) went south, Devon and Abby found consolation and comfort in one another.
Since Dominic is Devon’s biological son, he has interest in being part of his life. This has also drawn Abby and Devon to one another.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Newman Finds Out
Abby does not have a strong relationship with her father, Victor Newman. She is much closer to her mother, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Victor often meddles in the lives of his other children, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Abby tends to be the “forgotten child”. She has been free to make her own decisions and do her own thing without interference from her father. What give him a shock is finding Abby clearly coming from Devon’s bed when Victor comes to discuss business with Devon.
This is the first that he has known about them being a couple. He does not make a comment about it or ask any questions, but quickly takes his leave.
Victor wants McCall Unlimited, the company that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is determined to sell to his son Devon. Victor is trying to gauge Devon’s interest and see if there is anything he can do to help secure the company for himself.
Devon says all he really wants is his part of the company from the Chancellor-Winters merger. He is interested in McCall Unlimited only as insurance if he loses his case against Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). Victor decides he may work on that angle, trying to secure Devon’s company again for him so he’ll leave McCall Unlimited to Newman.
Will the relationship between Abby and Devon mean anything to Victor? Will it give him some leverage over Devon or will it cause him to work behind the scenes differently since his daughter is involved? Or will he continue to largely ignore Abby as he has so far?
