‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’re ready to keep things moving with some spoilery goodies to share.

Tuesday, December 17 looks like it’s going to be an interesting episode as some ties within the Abbott family will be strained and others severed.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is intent on proving himself, and he’ll admit he was testing Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

As if that’s not enough, when Jack refuses to help Billy in his revenge because it’ll harm Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Billy will disown him.

    That escalated quickly.

Speaking of escalating, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will have a chat.

Kyle will want to be honest, and he’ll question her still being in her own office. It looks like he is struggling to move past her and Jack’s scheming, and that’s going to take some time.

    At least he’s trying?

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Tuesday, December 17: Billy’s on his own

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers expected Billy to be intent on proving himself, and he’s truly on his own now.

Billy has always been a gambler, and it looks like he’s really pushing all of his chips to the middle of the table this time.

He’s going to admit to Jack that asking him for a job at Jabot was a loyalty test. It seems odd in many ways, but with everyone betraying Billy we can understand it.

First Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), then Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), and finally his mom.

We’re not saying he’s innocent, but no one had any faith in him and looked to bail when they could. So it’s understandable why he wouldn’t trust anyone.

The final straw with Jack will come when he asks for his help to buy back Chancellor, but Jack will refuse. He’ll refuse to hurt Nikki just to get back at Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

That’ll be it for Billy and he’ll sever ties with Jack and the Abbotts.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Tuesday, December 17: Some wounds never heal

Kyle really needs to consider therapy as he’ll once again struggle in moving on from Diane’s actions.

It’s understandable, and at least he’s owning his part in it, but old wounds sometimes never heal.

It won’t help that this is what Victor told her would happen, and it’ll threaten to undo a lot of what Diane hopes to accomplish with her son.

This will all start with Kyle questioning if she’s being passive aggressive by remaining in her office while her new one is still being worked on.

We doubt this will end well.

Will Diane and Kyle ever figure things out? Let us know in the comments below.
