‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is tired. He does not have the fortitude to be able to continue pursuing Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). He is throwing in the towel.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: A Changed Man?
When McCall returned to Genoa City, he seemed to have some shady things up his sleeve. He was getting information on Jabot’s financial situation, and he was getting secret information about Chancellor-Winters from Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). In reality, McCall was in a precarious situation himself.
McCall was in major debt and although his company had a solid foundation, he was in a position where he was facing losing it all. Ashley ended up buying all his debt without his knowledge.
When he found out that she bought his debt, he vowed that he wanted to change. He told her that the business and the “game” means nothing to him now. Tucker wants nothing but the ability to convince her and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that he is different. He wants to build a relationship again with two people who don’t trust him as far as they could throw him.
Ashley has interest in him, but she is also extremely wary. She is not really willing to get back into something serious with him because he doesn’t seem to be much different. She tells him that he may not sell to Newman Enterprises, but as a sign of his devotion to her and a sign of his veracity, he must sell his company to Devon for peanuts.
McCall makes an offer and seems to be on the way to convincing Devon. Then, Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) are able to mend their relationship and Devon decides to return to Chancellor-Winters. McCall has failed at his assignment.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: No Success
When McCall admits this failure to Ashley, he expresses the hope that they can still be together. He tries to make his case about why they need to be together. He expects that even though he did not succeed, Ashley will seek to give him a chance.
Ashley still can’t bring herself to trust him. This angers and frustrates him and he feels tired of being strung along. Tucker feels that she is really treating him unfairly and he has had enough. He decides he isn’t going to try anymore.
He decides he is going to sell his company to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to run. Tucker’s plan is to take the money and get out of town. What do you think? Will he be able to give up on Ashley after all? Or will he not really be able to go away?
