‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) would still be with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). While she had no intentions of breaking their marriage, the woman who still loves Kyle has been forced to look elsewhere. Hello, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) became close to Chance after Rey Rosales‘ (Jordi Vilasuso) life was cut short in a terrible accident that involved Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (last played by Robert Newman). Their friendship grew, in part, from the grief they shared. More recently, they became a romantic couple but have not been together long.

There was no reason for Kyle to push himself away from his wife. But he did because of a convoluted grudge.
Mealor’s character thought his way into a corner and then boxed himself on top of that. So, Kyle left Summer because he did not like her covering for her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). He did that to the woman who was open-hearted enough to raise his son as her own.
The fact that Phyllis is Phyllis should have been enough for Kyle to pull himself out of his egotistical stupor eventually. He didn’t use Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) as a revenge connection, ending a good marriage. No one else in this soapy world did as much for Kyle as Summer did, but he embraced ingratitude and was never open to forgiveness for Summer’s defensible mistake.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Sees Summer Newman As A Friend
Chance wants to be with Sharon. His feelings have not advanced nearly as far as Summer’s have.
However, if pressed, Chance could not deny his soft spot for Summer in his mind and heart. There is nothing wrong with that, and he has not acted on it.
Summer is a highly appealing woman. Any guy in his right mind, which excludes Kyle, would be joyful if she showed interest in him. Kyle took Summer’s devotion for granted, which is part of Chance’s appeal in contrast.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Soon To Be Summer Newman Again
Lanier’s character recently told Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that her divorce proceedings are progressing. That informed the audience that she still retains the Abbott last name.
This is daytime. Something dramatic could happen within one episode, and Summer and Kyle might not divorce. That does not feel likely, however.
Assuming Summer and Kyle are over, Chance will be front and center on her radar. Sharon’s name has only occasionally dotted this post. If Summer decides to push for a relationship with Chance, a future feature could mention Sharon and Chance’s relationship in the past tense on Y&R.
