On Instagram, McKenna posted, “My mom, brother, sister-in-law, and niece were in a head-on collision yesterday. Everyone lived. The baby is miraculously unharmed, Ry is very sore, Mal has a cracked sternum, my mother sustained serious injuries to her legs, arms, chest, and will require multiple surgeries and extensive rehab. I’ll be going home to take care of her for a while. Coulda been worse. If you know Ry or Mal, feel free to drop them a line; They’re pretty shaken up, but thankful as well.” This news came just a few days after the Thanksgiving holiday and it seems as if McKenna and his family are feeling incredibly thankful right about now.

If you are unsure where you know him from, you may remember him from ‘Young and the Restless’ as Detective Mark Harding. He was also on One Life to Live as Joey Buchanan. He has also starred in movies and shows such as King of the Ants, Hidden Intentions, Bliss, in & Out, and Holiday Engagement. Not only did he post on social media, but he also made a post just to the maker of the car seat that his niece was in. It said, “To Chicco USA, thanks to your car seat, our precious six-month baby Ripley was completely unharmed. Forever grateful.”

We could see just how much love fans sent out to him as soon as the posts went up. There is so much love and support for McKenna and his family and he said that they were very moved by it all. He told his fans that he would continue to update them and let them know how his mom is doing.

This accident could have been a tragedy, but we know that McKenna and his family are very thankful that they only had minor injuries.
