In what is one of the oddest twists ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers have seen, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) gave up on Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) after a dream.
A dream.
That may seem weird, but it does make sense as Sharon has been upfront about not looking for love while Chance was, and now that she’s broken up with him the problem is over. Or is it?
We get that she’s afraid to get attached to anyone or is keeping her options open for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but there’s a good chance she’ll have some seller’s remorse before too long, and by then it could be too late.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Concession while winning?
Giving up on someone while in the midst of a potential struggle with another isn’t something ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers are used to seeing in Genoa City.
In this case, Chance was hers but it looks like Sharon took Summer Newman (Alison Lanier)’s question to heart, and now it opens the door for Summer to step in and take her place.
Well, it may not be that simple since Chance is going to be stinging after being dumped. But then again, the way it works in soaps it’s the perfect time for Summer to move in.
She’ll be kind and comforting to him and quickly win him over when he realizes she’s offering him what he wants.
Of course, there’s going to be some hesitation on his part since he didn’t view her in that way before, so it could take some time for him to warm up to her.
And this could make things interesting between Summer and Sharon.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Sharons’ fault and regret
It’s possible that Sharon will regret her decision just in time to see Summer and Chance start to hit it off.
This will trigger Sharon to try to either get Chance back or she’ll face Summer’s smiling face that could’ve been her.
There is also the chance that Chance won’t be up for anything, and that could make Summer more antagonistic toward Sharon for hurting him and hurting her efforts.
That could lead to a whole slew of other back and forths between them with Chance trying to keep the peace.
It could even strengthen Sharon’s resolve to get Chance back or walk away and focus on giving Nick another chance so she doesn’t have to deal with the drama anymore.
