‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may be desperate for work, she still isn’t desperate enough to take Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) offer. But she has been brutally honest about how his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has treated her.

Victor approached Sally with an offer. He told her he wanted to have a design division at Newman, and he wanted her to run it. She said she would have to think about it. Victor doesn’t like Sally, and she wasn’t sure she wanted to work for him. However, the stability of a design job was very compelling.
Sally also told Victor another reason for her reticence. She and her partner, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), already had a project they were working on for Chancellor-Winters. They needed to complete that project before Sally would be free to work for Newman.
At this revelation, Victor did what he does he best. He meddled. Victor contacted Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to let her know he wanted Sally off her job so she could work for him. He provided another design company so the workflow for Chancellor-Winters would not be disrupted.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Always Adam
When Sally comes to accept Victor’s offer, he drops a bomb on her. He isn’t going ahead with the design division after all. Victor needs to give his full attention to Adam’s floundering company. He needs to make sure that his son isn’t going to make a move against Newman Media.
Sally is shocked at Victor’s announcement. It is brutal for her too, because she has already been replaced on the Chancellor-Winters project. Now she and Chloe have to start from scratch, finding clients to build up their business which still hasn’t gotten off the ground.
It’s hard to say if Victor did this purposefully or not. Maybe he was trying to punish Sally for being involved with his sons. Whether or not it was intentional doesn’t really seem to matter. It still was devastating to Sally’s career. Adam sees this and tries of offer Sally a job. She turns it down. She can’t work with him.
This does give Adam more fuel in his anger toward his father. When will his father be done meddling and hurting people? What do you think Adam will do in reaction to Victor’s move?
