‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) has been nominated for another Daytime Emmy! The star of the popular soap opera had a chance to speak with Soap Opera Digest about what it means for him.
Bergman spoke about what it meant to him saying, “It is my peers in this business that I’ve been in for 43 years and I care a great deal about, saying, ‘He’s one of the good ones.’ It’s as simple as that and it’s as wonderful as that.”
Bergman has been a staple of the show for decades and definitely has earned his Emmy nominations. We’re happy to hear about his nomination and are confident that he has a great chance at winning yet another award.

Bergman is nominated alongside his on-screen brother Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott), and spoke about what it meant to him. “I was delighted. I still am. I look at Jason Thompson as the future of the Abbott family.
His Billy is everything the Abbotts need. He’s a little bit of a bad boy, he’s got heart, he’s got strength and Jason is an agile actor with lots of chops. So when the industry is recognizing him as a lead actor on the show, that makes me very happy.”
Soap Opera Digest also asked Bergman about what scenes were submitted to the awards, “I was lucky to have worked with so many strong women. The first couple of scenes are with Diane in Los Angeles as Jack is finding out the shocking truth that this woman is alive and she has plans to walk back into his life and into Kyle’s life.
As angry as he is, you can feel Jack’s pain. In the second group of scenes, Jack is mostly defending Diane to Phyllis, who has showed up in his office at night, a little too sure of herself.”
