‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that in a preview for next week, it appears that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is once again going to be falling off the wagon and need help getting sober.

While her endearing husband, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), has taken the least amount of steps to help with her sobriety, she’s going to actually need someone to give her a hand.

In the preview clip, that hand happens to come from Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman). Nikki looks visibly worried and says that Victor can’t see her like this as Lauren takes her into her arms, saying “I have an idea.”

But, what exactly is this idea and will she be the one to reluctantly take Nikki in and help her with her sobriety?

While many fans are already tired of the Nikki storyline, it unfortunately doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon. So much for a happy New Year’s. Buckle up for a six-month long story involving Nikki hiding her drunkenness from a clueless Victor Newman.

We must say that it should be interesting seeing how Lauren plans to help her and how they will keep it from Victor. Is she just going to stash her in a room until she sobers up or will she make a plan for an intervention in an attempt to save Nikki from herself?

Victor is clearly not up for the task, as much as he loves his “baby”, he’s not able to keep her from drinking. Even if she’s trying to do it behind his back, how does he not know where she has been going or where she is? All around it is a boring and overused storyline when there is plenty of young talent in Genoa City.

What do you think? What will Lauren do to help Nikki and will she tell Victor about finding her drunk? Let us know in the comments below.
