‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are starting to become close, and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) might have reason to be concerned.
Diane is sincerely rooting for Nikki to be sober despite their unpleasant past and recognizes that she is going through a lot.
She knows Jack’s kindness and his desire to support Nikki throughout her difficulties. But Jack’s requirements for frequent companionship with Nikki are a result of her problems.
Jack frequently leaves the Abbott home to cheer on Nikki or even just spends intimate moments with her. Given that Nikki and Jack had a past together, it’s understandable why Diane feels uneasy about their developing relationship.

Jack assured Diane she had nothing to be insecure about. But is it really true? It’s not uncommon for a character in soap operas to say one thing and then do the exact opposite. Someone could claim, for instance, that nothing can possibly go wrong at a wedding, only for the event to turn into a complete catastrophe.
If Jack maintains that there’s no cause for insecurity when there is, in fact, a compelling reason that will be shown on screen, then that may also be the case here.
What happens if Nikki gives Jack a drunken kiss at some point? It may result in Jack and Nikki holding onto a secret that will eventually explode up in their faces, including Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Diane.
However, since Jack is all about attempting to have an open relationship with Diane, he could reveal what transpired. Diane may even end up seeing Nikki and Jack’s smooch while under the influence of alcohol, which would provide an opportunity for drama!
