Longtime viewers, meaning those watching thirty years ago, know Eve died in 1993. Mason reprised her character that year and returned to Genoa City, Wisconsin.
Eve made a false paternity claim. She asserted that Cole was Victor’s son. He was proven not to be, with his romantic involvement with Victoria Newman (then played by Heather Tom) averted as an unseemly plot point.
Jordan sees herself as righting a wrong, believing Victor drove Eve mad. She was mad long before meeting Victor. Jordan suffers from the same affliction and, like her sister, blames Victor and is fixated on Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Thomas Scott is delivering sensational performances. While Nikki has faced and defeated her alcohol issues in the past, the fresh take on her recent fight is proving great.
High praise to this longtime cast stalwart. She is giving every ounce of herself in this particular storyline. Her physical appearance alone demonstrates a methodical presentation that surely has the audience applauding.
It would surprise no one if Thomas Scott competed with her daytime colleagues for an Emmy award due to her dazzling performance. And, as viewers know, this story is not over.

Jordan left a staged scene after she reported herself to the authorities. That was a way to draw Victor to the motel room she rented on the outskirts of town.
Making an attempt on Nikki’s life at the Ranch would be intensely dramatic. Of course, Nikki’s inebriated state would leave her more vulnerable than usual. Plus, fans know that Newman security has a history of mistakes on Y&R.
