Sticking with Mamie, rather than Audra, is highly advised. Why work with the tandem that includes Tucker when Nate knows Mamie, Devon, and Lily do not trust him?

Yes, Tucker is motivated to seek revenge against the Abbotts because he feels Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) broke a promise. As viewers recall, Tucker proposed remarriage that included her leaving Jabot and co-founding Simply Ashley with him. Ashley agreed but then announced a change of heart about the business venture while on their honeymoon in Paris, which led to a major fight and Tucker’s current pursuit of an annulment.
Fans know that Audra only offered Nate a prime position at the proposed new Jabot only because of her doubts about Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) authenticity and feelings for her.

If Nate was always a schemer his road to redemption would be hard. But he was seen as a good guy by his cousins until Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) cheated on Devon with Nate. That is the continuing reason for Devon’s distrust.
So, the passage of time has allowed feelings to cool. With still naturally suspicious, Devon has reached the point where he will reconsider Nate’s family pledge. Lily is moving in that direction as well.
But Nate can not afford to risk all he has worked to achieve. So, telling Audra he would be willing to listen to a business pitch after she felt him out at Crimson Lights was misguided. She or Tucker seem bound to repeat what Nate did, and that alone could damage Mamie’s intended family healing plan on Y&R.
