‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers say if this blonde beauty looks familiar, there’s a good reason for it. That’s because actress Madison Thompson, who will soon make her debut as Jordan on the hit CBS soap, is also a Netflix star. Here’s what you need to know.
In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Madison says that while she has definitely gotten rave reviews for her role as Erin on the Netflix hit Ozark, she knew that coming into daytime television, this would be brand new territory for her.
Even though producers for ‘Young and the Restless’ were impressed with her resume, she still had to send in an audition tape, just like all of the other actors who were being considered for the role.
“Doing well on one show doesn’t mean it’s going to translate to this,” she said. “There were a couple of other people they were considering, so they sent me mock sides but I had no idea my character had anything to do with Faith Newman. Jordan is a bit of a troublemaker, so I taped two different takes for Y&R, one a little more sinister than the other and they liked the sinister version.”

Madison also says that working on a soap opera has definitely been a new experience for her. She told the publication, “It is on a whole new level and has been a little bit of a learning curve for me, but everyone has been so nice at welcoming me to the show and giving me the tools I needed to adjust to the way they do things. This has been great training and a fun challenge for me as an actress.”
With that said, Y&R fans can expect to see Madison in just a few episodes, but she wouldn’t mind being in more. “I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the cast and crew at Y&R, so I’d be more than happy to be on longer,” she enthuses. “CBS just needs to call me.”
