‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) thinks much of himself. Recently, after realizing that betraying his family was wrong, he shifted his target to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
Kyle’s just-ended personal connection with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) also allows him to believe he can manage the woman he used as a rebound from Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier). All the while, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) is backing her son’s efforts to thwart whatever Tucker’s takeover plan for Jabot may be.
Meanwhile, Tucker and Audra are onto Kyle. But Tucker’s miscalculation involves his certainty that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has sent Kyle into battle as his mole.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Audra Charles Retains Some Power
There was a significant spark between Kyle and Audra. While their link was not love, the potential was evident for an eventual relationship.
The ‘Young and the Restless Spoilers’ documented the falling out this pairing had because they were involved in a transactional relationship. But the business-based aspect of their togetherness was merely talk.
Audra has not admitted it to Kyle or Tucker, but she was falling for Mealor’s character. Tucker recognized that and warned her off him, stating she could do better and suggesting he would be her best option in a re-imagined reality. Those two define transactional.

Jack became enraged when Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) suggested that Kyle was in Tucker’s clutches. But Billy’s distrust is misguided, making him similar to St. John’s character and his certainty that Jack is behind Kyle’s supposed renewed alliance.
The game Kyle is playing is dangerous because he has not informed his father. Jack deserves to know what one of his top Jabot executives is doing by pretending to collude with Tucker. More importantly, Jack deserves that respect from his son.
Kyle is not only potentially putting Jabot at risk for an attack or hostile takeover, but he is also jeopardizing his father’s trust. Jack could easily see Kyle’s move as a betrayal and become disillusioned with Diane fueling the dangerous game.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Billy Abbott Proven Partially Right
Viewers know that Billy is right to sound the alarm about Kyle Abbott’s loyalties cautiously. Thompson’s character is incorrect in believing Kyle wants to control Jabot. No, Kyle wants to take Billy down a peg or, ideally, have Jack push him out as co-Chief Executive Officer.
The role Jack gave Kyle, Chief Operations Officer, is not a token job because it reflects his deep desire for family unity. The measure of being COO is not as prestigious as returning to the co-CEO slot would have been. But having Jack’s trust should mean everything to Kyle.
Billy is not aware that Diane and Kyle are conspiring behind Jack’s back, with good intentions, to stop Tucker. He also does not know that they hope the efforts cause Jack to conclude Kyle deserves what is currently Billy’s job on Y&R.
