However, their plot began to unravel when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) uncovered the truth and exerted pressure on Audra to bring their charade to an end. Astonishingly, the breakup had a profound impact on Kyle, an unexpected turn of events given that their relationship had been relatively new and casual.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), once a wild and carefree individual, now assumes the role of the Abbott family patriarch. While this transformation doesn’t imply Jack’s infallibility or impeccable decision-making, it underscores his tendency to grant people second chances.

Eventually, Nikki uncovered their deception, leaving her profoundly displeased and demanding that Audra sever ties with Kyle. Audra, well aware of the professional stakes involved, acquiesced to Nikki’s commands.
However, Kyle found it challenging to come to terms with the breakup, despite Audra’s insistence that there was no room for negotiation. Additionally, Audra followed Nikki’s subsequent directive by dismissing Adam.
Initially, it appeared that Kyle’s feelings for Audra were largely circumstantial, but over time, he developed a sense of trust in her. As predicted by Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and others, Audra seemed poised to bring turmoil into Kyle’s life.
At the outset, Kyle and Audra’s relationship appeared casual and transitory, functioning as a rebound for Kyle. Nevertheless, when Audra concluded their relationship genuinely, Kyle’s response was unexpectedly intense.
