‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready to kick off a new week and it looks like there’s going to be some tension to keep things moving.
There’s nothing more fun than trying to rebuild one’s image, and it’s something Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) should be used to by now as she tries to mend fences with her children.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will get an earful from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about his first unilateral decision, and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) helps Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) with a career decision.
We’ve got the popcorn, so let’s dive into some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 31: Back to the drawing board
As we mentioned above, Phyllis is going to do her best to repair the damage she’s done, and we expect her to do that with plenty of manipulation via self pity and her usual.
Nothing works better than triggered a love ones through their, well, love. It’ll work to a point, and she’ll feel better when Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) admit they still love her and wish her the best.
How far that goodwill will go will depend on how they’ll react to Phyllis putting herself in another compromising position, though at least this time she didn’t have a lot of choices.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 31: Family business
It’s been a while since we got a good scene with Mariah and Tessa, so when they sit down it looks like they’re going to discuss possible career opportunities.
With things at Jabot getting a little rough and Mariah’s reason for being there — Kyle Abbott (Micheal Mealor) — gone, she may be ready to make the move to another challenge.
‘Young and the Restless’ think this will be by working for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Nick, and Adam’s new company.
This will be a bold move, but it’ll be a new challenge and something she can help her mother build so it’ll be a good fit.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 31: No more resentment
While Sharon made what appears to be a unilateral decision, it won’t bother Nick as much as Adam offering Phyllis a job given she destroyed Summer’s marriage and she could be going to prison.
But they’ll work through that and thanks to Sharon joining them, she and Nick will convince Adam to give up his vendetta against Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
We think Adam will try, but either something will happen or Victoria will make a comment that’ll start pushing him back to his natural setting.
Will Phyllis be able to win back her children’s trust or is that gone for good? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
