‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) Secret
Summer Newman knows her mother, Phyllis Summer (Michelle Stafford) is not dead. She met Phyllis and heard about the entire situation. Phyllis and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) framed Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for Phyllis’ death.
When Phyllis regretted her actions and wanted to confess to her kids, Stark attacked her and she killed him in self-defense.
Now Phyllis is in hiding. If she is caught alive, she will be held responsible for the plot and may be held responsible for Stark’s murder.
It would have been a lot better had she called the authorities as soon as she killed Stark in self-defense. She could have said that he threatened her and her children if she didn’t help him. While Diane would have gone free, at least Phyllis would have been free too.
But she didn’t take care of it that way, so she is stuck. She’s thinking about what to do next, but she confessed all to Summer. Phyllis needs time to think of a way out of this. She made Summer promise to keep it all a secret. That is getting more difficult every day.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Getting Followed
Kyle is worried about Summer. He thinks she is still in deep grief about her mother. He doesn’t understand the turmoil she is in, having to choose between him and her mother.
Phyllis told Summer she would need to choose between freeing her mother-in-law and keeping her own mother out of jail. This has been hard for Summer.
Kyle is frustrated about Summer’s emotional outbursts and then her disappearances. She will get texts and then take off. The first time that happened, she actually went to meet a mysterious stranger who turned out to be her mother.
She has also met her brother, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and has confessed all to him.
Summer got another text, telling her to come meet with Daniel right away. Immediately they start discussing Phyllis and the fact that Daniel can’t keep the secret much longer. He feels that he has to tell everyone that his mother is alive. Is Kyle going to walk in on their conversation?
