Bryton James has been on ‘The Young and the Restless’ since 2004. He started when he was just a teenager and has been a part of the show for the last 19 years. He has been in over 500 episodes.
Bryton was introduced to show business at a very young age. When he was only two years old, he appeared in television commercials and in print ads for magazines. When he was just four, he started portraying the role of Richie Crawford in the sitcom Family Matters. He did this for seven years and was in over 200 episodes.
Bryton won several awards for his time on ‘The Young and the Restless.’ He won an Emmy as an Outstanding Young Actor and he also won the NAACP Image Award. Bryton’s character, Devon Hamilton, has dealt with tough issues like juvenile delinquency, healing loss due to disease, and affairs.

Bryton James was married to Ashley Leisinger for three years. The ceremony was presided over by Bryton’s costar on ‘The Young and the Restless’, Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin). James and Leisinger do not share any children. They remain good friends.
James began a relationship with his costar Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson) in 2019. They are still seeing one another.

Life for Devon Hamilton has been fairly drama free. He patched up his relationship with his cousin, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and is work at Chancellor-Winters. He is living with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and they are parenting their son, Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters Chancellor (River & Rainn Ware). They are living in the Chancellor Mansion.
Devon is getting along with his biological father, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). He doesn’t necessarily trust Tucker, but they are communicating well and Devon is trying to give Tucker a chance. Things are stable for Devon at the moment, and that is a nice place for the character to be. What do you think might happen to bring some drama back into Devon’s life?
