‘The Young And The Restless (Y&R)’ spoilers show that Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) came under fire today when he posted a message about our agriculture system from Dr. Mark Hyman, and M.D. who spoke about how the way we produce food destroys the soil, depletes our freshwater and more.
A lot of people who involved in agriculture were quick to point out how much they take care of their land and how they are able to feed so many people.
“Our agriculture system is destructive-for the earth and human health. The way we produce food destroys the soil, mows down rainforests, depletes our freshwater resources, and drives massive loss of biodiversity in our ecosystem.”

One person wrote, “So I’m assuming everyone makes your salary and can afford over priced food! As a poultry farmer my self I know the regulations put on us and the care we give not only give our animals but the land we farm on maybe you should leave the small tract of land you call home and see how we take care of the animals and land. Most people have no idea where there food come from, like it magically appears. A lot of blood sweat and tears goes into producing almost everything that we consume!”
Another wrote, “You my friend must know nothing about sustainable farming!!! My son puts just as much in protecting the soil as he does harvesting his crops!”
Yet another viewer wrote, “As a dairy farmer I strongly disagree with this post.”
Others followed with, “That is a bunch of bull. Get real!”, “So how are we supposed to grow food?” and “This is so False!!”
