‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) doesn’t know what to believe about Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) shocking revelation. Does he believe her or does he think the things she is saying are just her way of coping?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Tells All
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) met Summer and let her know that she is fact, still alive. She tells her the whole story, even admitting that she did some terrible things. She doesn’t put the blame all on Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) which we thought she would.
Even though her story is really disturbing, Summer does not react negatively. She is just so thankful that her mother is alive and that she has another chance with her. Summer isn’t angry at this point. Maybe that will change after she considers all that Phyllis put her through.
Her mother begs her to keep silent about all of it until she can work out how to deal with the situation. She is afraid she will be arrested right away for killing Jeremy Stark, even though she did so in self-defense. Phyllis wants time to figure everything out and wants Summer to keep it under wraps.
Daniel shows up not long after Phyllis left and Summer can’t keep it in. She tells her brother that she has seen their mother.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Daniel Grapples With Summer’s Revelation
It is not really clear whether Daniel believes Summer or not. He seems to think that she is just under incredible stress and is dealing with so much grief.
He says that he too “has seen” their mother as he is grieving. He believes that is just because he misses her so much. That makes us wonder if he really has seen his mother (since she attended her own memorial service!) or if he just is imagining her presence.
Summer tries to explain the situation to him, and he agrees that they don’t want their mother to head straight to prison. He also agrees that if Phyllis is alive, it will really help Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), which they both want.
As they finish their conversation, it is still not clear if he really believes her. It seems like he may still think she is having hallucinations because of her intense grief. It will be interesting to see if he continues to support her claims and how he will react when he really sees that his mother is alive. What do you think his reaction will be?
