‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) have been successful. They were able to frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for Phyllis’ “death”.
‘The Young and the Restles’ Spoilers: Evidence Piles Up
More evidence has been collected which points to Diane Jenkins as the culprit. While everyone heard Phyllis’ accusations, no one really took her seriously. The women have hated each other for years, and no one really believed Phyllis very often.
At the gala, Diane was provoked by Phyllis and fought with her. While they fought Diane said it would be better if she just killed Phyllis. That statement, along with frightened voice mail messages, still hasn’t been concrete evidence. It is still able to be explained away.
What Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) collected was a poison bottle from Phyllis’ suite at the Sports Club. When he traced the bottle, he found that Diane purchased it. A search of the Abbott mansion uncovered a letter that Phyllis wrote to Diane, saying that she would expose her for who she is.
Phyllis stated that Diane will never marry Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). This offers a motive for Diane, whose engagement to Jack was just announced at the gala.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoiler: Precarious Position
There is a lot of evidence that Phyllis and Stark planted to make Diane look like the guilty party. Diane also does not have a lot of friends in Genoa City. Jack is the only one who has really believed in her since she returned.
He had a lot to forgive her for but decided to trust her again. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), her son, also believes that she is innocent.
Not many other people in town side with Diane. As she is cuffed and led away, Diane begs Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), prominent Genoa City lawyer, to defend her. He declines.
Michael was good friends with Phyllis and received her frightened voice mail on his phone. He had to share that message with Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell), the district attorney. Michael doesn’t believe he can defend Diane.
Phyllis and Stark set this up well, for Diane has few people on her side. She will be alone in this fight to prove her innocence. What do you think will happen? Will she take the fall for what happened to Phyllis? Leave your thoughts below.
