The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that as much as Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is trying to move on with his life, he can’t forget about his past. That’s because he’s still haunted by his wife Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan), who tragically died in a car crash along with the couple’s unborn baby last year. And while Devon has been doing his best to move on, he keeps on seeing glimpses of Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) everywhere he goes. Here’s what you need to know.

As many viewers know, Devon has a new love interest in his life but unfortunately, he is struggling to give Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpi) the attention that she needs simply because he keeps seeing images of Hilary in his head. Clearly, he’s haunted by what happened to her and their past. It’s something that Devon will be grappling with in the coming weeks, as he tries to move past the tragic accident that took away the family that he never had in his life.

According to CBS Soaps in Depth, co-executive producer Josh Griffith puts it this way, “Devon’s deep rooted connection, even now, to Hilary threatens to keep him from moving forward with Elena.”
Actress Mishael Morgan, who plays Hilary from 2013 until her character’s death in 2018 said that she would be open to the idea or returning, should they need her character in either ghost-like or flashback form. And while Devon might never get the closure that he needs, he will at least know that Hilary is there with him and that yes, she would want for him to move on and be happy, too.
So far, what we know is that outside of Mishael’s latest May 1st reincarnation of Hilary as Devon’s memory, she will appear a couple time more on the show, in similar fashion. Other details remain scarce at this time, but we’re sure that Devon is to be tormented by his past love for a little while longer yet after what we have heard. Of course, fans would have to tune in to find out what happens next!
