‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that the Newman family, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), and the fans got some answers. If one of them proves true, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) has the ability to redeem herself.
A break happened when the audience saw that Claire realized her aunt had used her. The deception Jordan (Colleen Zenk) based her revenge plan meant telling Erin’s character a purposely deceptive life. What should prove to be a crucial flaw in Jordan’s plan also allows Claire to trade her villain outfit for a hero’s badge.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Eve Nicole Howard’s Parents Were Purposely Lured
Cole received what he thought was a message about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) being in distress. He, like his one-time wife, did not know Jordan and Claire, whose full name is Eve Nicole Howard, conspired to lure them to a remote house in Redmond, Oregon.
With clarity increasing by the scene, the apparent late Eve Howard’s (Margaret Mason) sister, Jordan, convinced herself that the Newman family had to be targeted, along with Cole. Zenk’s character hitting him on the back of the head with a hammer or even including him in the attempted poisoning plot, is not rational.
While it is understandable that Jordan would target Victoria, as part of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family, making Cole a victim is irrational even for someone as unhinged as Zenk’s character.
But Cole may have offered a clue about Jordan’s mindset when mentioning that she did not get alone with his mother. So, she transferred whatever remaining negative feelings she had for Eve to him and wanted him to be present for Claire to see along with Victoria.

Devoted soap fans know that a climax to an extended storyline that a lead villain can also include that person divulging information that informs the audience and pushes the plot. That is what happened when Jordan, who did not need to give her poisoned throng anything, said too much.
Fans knew that the main characters on this show and Peck’s returning character were not all going to be killed off. So, Jordan telling them that the antidote to the poison was in the house. Claire added that she knew of one location, with her aunt knowing of the other.
The above was followed by Claire recognizing she was part of the setup. Jordan’s attempt to keep her niece under control failed and led to Claire hoping the people she believed where her parents would acknowledge it was possible. Her later agreement to give the Newmans the antidote opens her redemptive path.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Nick Newman’s Serious Stab Wound
While everyone seems likely to survive the poison they were fed by Jordan and Claire, one target had a more pressing problem. Jordan slashed Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) across the chest while he was following her up the stairs.
Victor worked through the pain and made his way to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas) on the second floor. Jordan pulled a slasher movie knife from under a cushion and soon followed, with Nick trailing behind her. She turned and lacerated him with a quick cut.
It was clear that Nick needed immediate attention. Receiving the antidote became as vital as closing what could be a fatal wound on Y&R.
