‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers here and we’re ready to close out the week and we’ve got some fun spoilery goodies to share.
After Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) tries to get answers out of Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and get things rolling, she leaves.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) arrives and when question Cane will admit that no one will be ready when he strikes.
He’s using Phyllis and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to spread the word he’s not going after the companies.
Meanwhile, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be struggling to deal with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)’s omission lie.
To help cheer her up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will promote her. During this time, Kyle will buy a ring and plan to propose to her instead of giving Claire time.
What could go wrong?

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers aren’t surprised that Cane has something more planned, but we are at the same time.
He seems to genuinely want to fix things with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and his kids. But he also wants to take over Genoa City. Well, it looks like Winters is his priority now.
He even lured Phyllis and Billy in just so they could tell everyone he’s giving up on his plan. Billy’s not falling for it, and we doubt Phyllis will.
Phyllis could go rogue just to prove how big of an asset she is to him.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for Friday, August 29: Claire’s going to unravel
There’s no doubt in our minds that Claire is nearing the point of losing her mind. Not in an emotional breakdown way, not entirely.
But in more of a she’s tired of the BS way.
Everyone can see she needs time to work through her lack of relationship experience. Well, everyone but Kyle.
He’ll buy a ring and plan to propose to her, and we think that will send her running away. He’s too desperate to have her and it’ll come across as manipulative when he just wants to make it right.
Learn to read the room, guy.
As for Nikki, she’s worried Claire is burying herself in work too much, but to help give her something to focus on she’ll promote her.
It seems kinda oxymoronish to us to be worried about her focusing on work and then promoting her. Which will ensure Claire has to focus on work more.
But Nikki and Claire seem to be okay with it, so it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.
