‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers confirm that Cait Fairbanks, who plays Tessa Porter on Y&R, is engaged to her long-time love, Jay Rudolph.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Fairbanks Shared a Post Featuring Her Sparkling Engagement Ring
In her most recent Instagram stories, Fairbanks shared a picture of herself wearing her sparkly engagement ring against a backdrop of scenic fall foliage.
Her new fiancé shared the same snap on his Instagram stories, with the excited caption, “She said yes!” The couple has been together for five years.
In October 2024, Fairbanks shares a special, sweet message to her boyfriend, “Love my honey, thanks for the best four years.” The post included a gallery of videos and photos of her and Rudolph playing the drums.
Rudolph responded,
“Four years with Cait and it keeps getting better.”
Fairbanks has been playing Tessa Porter since 2017.
She has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards, two in the Outstanding Original Song category and one in the Outstanding Younger Actress category.
Plus, Rudolph is also a talented musician who plays the keyboard and drums. He is also an accomplished music producer.
Like his beautiful girlfriend, he loves to create music and has even toured with artists like Weyes Blood and Nick Waterhouse.
The pair began dating in October 2020. They celebrated their fifth anniversary on October 16th.
So, despite the actress’s alter ego’s romantic life being in emotional turmoil, Fairbanks’s love life is thriving.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Tessa and Daniel Shared a Steamy Kiss
On Y&R, Tessa and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are facing a divorce. However, Tessa has developed strong romantic feelings for Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Grazadei).
The two of them even shared a steamy kiss on the night of Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and Danny Romalotti’s (Michael Damian) post-wedding bash.
Tessa had been drinking and got a bit tipsy. She ended up planting a big smooch on Daniel. The kiss was a dream come true for him since he’s been crushing on Tessa for a while
It looks like Tessa and Mariah’s marriage is really over, and she’s spending a lot more time with Daniel.
Their relationship started with her teaching Daniel how to play the guitar to help him cope and heal from his girlfriend, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), being murdered last year.
Fairbanks and Grazadei are both very musical people. Grazadei was a bit hesitant at first to agree to play the guitar on-screen, but it worked out very well, as the pair wrote and performed a song for Christine and Danny’s wedding.

Prior to her relationship with Rudolph, Fairbanks was romantically linked to her former Y&R co-star, Fenmore Baldwin (Zach Tinker). He played the son of Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).
The two of them had met on the set of the soap. Fairbanks shared the story of her relationship with Tinker on Soap Opera Digest’s podcast, Dishing with Digest, in 2020:
“When he was working there, he would always just kind of pop into my dressing room, and I’d be like, ‘Who is this goof, and why is he always in my dressing room?”
She continued,
“And then when he wasn’t working on the show as much, and we were still hanging out, and I was helping him with self-tapes, and then we just kind of ended up starting to date.”
