‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) may be making a big mistake. She is really unhappy that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has come into her brother’s life, and she wants to put a stop to it.
She can’t let it go and let her brother find happiness. Her choices seem quite erratic, and she may have some regrets.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Return of Diane Jenkins
Diane’s return to Genoa City surprised Y&R fans and the characters on the show. She had faked her death and framed Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) for it. She left her baby boy, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and started a new life for herself. In the process she hurt Kyle and his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Even though she did all these things, she has reconnected with Jack again. He has forgiven her, and he has fallen for her. He believes she has changed, and he wants a future with her.
Even when she faced charges in the “murder” of Phyllis Summer, Jack believed in her innocence. He fought hard to get her released from prison and cleared of all charges.
Jack and Diane are happily making plans to get married. Diane is trying to rebuild her relationship with her son Kyle, his wife Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and their child Harrison. She is also working at Jabot.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Ashley’s Distress
Ashley can’t trust Diane. She wants her out of their mansion and out of their lives. Ashley believes that Diane will hurt her brother again and she can’t believe that he has fallen for her. She also believes that Diane has designs on Jabot. She wants to do whatever she can to save her brother from Diane.
Y&R’s Ashley has gone to the board of Jabot, and she will use her role there to try to remove him from his position. She has asked her ‘friend with benefits’, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), to help her.
He is not very interested in a plot to topple Diane. He thinks Ashley should let it go. In that way, Ashley has turned him around and he can’t believe she is enlisting his help in this endeavor.
McCall uses it to his advantage, telling her that they should get married right away. If they are married, he will be within his “rights” as her husband to help take over Jabot. Surprisingly, Ashley has agreed.
This seems like a bad move. She has been so careful about trusting him so far, but now she is willing to tie the knot just to take down Diane? This seems like a bad reason to get married and could cause Ashley a lot of grief.
