‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) has decided she needs help. All of the tactics that she has employed have not been effective. She needs to consider other options.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Intense Hatred
Y&R’s Ashley has a thorn in her side. That thorn is Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Ashley can’t stand Diane. She thinks that Diane is out to ruin Jabot and destroy her brother, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Ashley is disheartened that Jack has fallen in love with Diane and has asked her to marry him.
While they are not married yet, Jack invited Diane to live in the Abbott mansion. That means that Diane is always underfoot. Then they announced their engagement.
Finally, Jack gave Diane a position at Jabot without consulting anyone. He gave her the role of Chief Talent Officer. This made things even more infuriating for Ashley.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Tactics Coming Up Short
Ashley has tried to reason with Jack, but he is too hung up on Diane. She has also tried to get him to see how crazy his relationship with Diane is by starting her own crazy relationship with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
That did not help Jack see anything differently. She invited Tucker to live at the Abbott Mansion and they have announced their engagement. Still, that made no difference.
She even contemplated staging a coup at Jabot, to remove Jack at CEO. This was a bit precarious since she had to have enough board member support. Finally, she decided to quit Jabot suddenly and open up a competitor company with Tucker.
These things still haven’t gotten Diane out of her brother’s life. Nothing has changed in that area, and she has failed.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Another Plan?
Ashley realizes that she has an ally in the war against Diane. She needs to figure out how this ally could help her rid the Abbott Mansion and Genoa City of Diane once and for all.
This ally wasn’t particularly successful in her own bid to get rid of Diane, but perhaps if the two women worked together, they could get it done.
Phyllis is on the run at the moment, for trying to frame Diane for her ‘death’ and for killing Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). But she has the same strong feelings about Diane that Ashley does.
If they join forces, they may succeed finally at ousting Diane. What do you think? Will this partnership be a good one and can they take down Diane?
