‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is still hopelessly stuck on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). While she has asked him to let her go and move on, he still can’t get his mind off of her. Will this impact his work relationship with his brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Painful Connection
When Sally started having terrible pain during her pregnancy, Nick Newman was away helping Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). They were being attacked by a psycho villain, Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). For that reason, Nick was tied up and wasn’t able to come to Sally’s aid.
Sally was with the father of the baby, Adam Newman, when the pain started. He took her to the emergency room. It was there that things went south, and emergency surgery was necessary to save someone. Adam had to respond, making the decision about whether to prioritize Sally or the baby. Adam chose Sally because the baby would likely have not survived being so premature.
When Sally came to, she was devastated about her loss. She was also terribly angry that Adam made the decision prioritizing her. She refused to see Adam or talk to him. Even though he was grieving too, she poured the blame on him. While this was terrible and unfair for him, the result was that he wasn’t as obsessed with feelings for Sally.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Rekindled
Now that she is talking to him again and trying to experience healing, Adam finds himself conflicted again. He really loves Sally and cares about her. It is hard for him to not be a part of her life anymore. He thinks they belong together. Adam also doesn’t like seeing her pity for him but wants to see a connection again.
Adam tells Sharon that she belongs with Nick. Nick and Sharon have no romantic interest in one another, but Adam harps on this, saying that they should always be together. They are meant for one another, as he is meant for Sally.
Sharon stops him, telling him that he can’t try to manipulate her into feeling something for Nick. This whole conversation concerns her, because they are supposed to all be business partners. This personal stuff is not supposed to be a part of their situation.
Adam retorts that he only brought it up because she wanted him to come clean on what was bothering him. The question this all brings up is, are these three really going to be able to work together? Is this partnership going to fly or is it headed for disaster? What do you think?
