‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had something quite different in mind when his father said he could start “at the bottom” at Newman Enterprises. The idea that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has doesn’t seem to please Adam at all. Will he go for it?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Messing Up Always
Adam always seems to fight Victor every step of the way. Victor wants Adam to work with the family company, but Adam always seems to think that whatever his father is offering is never enough.
Most recently, Victor bought McCall Unlimited, and gave it to Adam to run. Victor wanted to give Adam input though on the way he was progressing, and Adam wouldn’t have it. At first, Adam wanted to use his new acquisition to take over Newman Media. Later, he wants to merge his company with Newman Media.
Adam wasn’t able to “play fair” with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) or Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case) and found himself getting the boot. He always has to rebel against his father’s plans and Victor finally had enough.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Eating Some Humble Pie?
Adam says he finally realizes what a louse he has been. He decides that it is time for him to turn his life around. No one really believes that he is intent upon this. They anticipate that he will always be the “same old Adam’.
Adam attributes his desire to change to his son Conner Newman (Judah Mackey) who admitted he needed help and sought change for himself. He also contends that losing baby Ava with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) helped him take a hard look at himself. He hasn’t liked what he sees and realizes he needs to change.
He tells Victor that he would do any job at Newman, even if it means starting at the very bottom. He is willing to start from scratch and realizes he doesn’t deserve anything. But, then his father shocks him. He is going to start by being Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) assistant.
He isn’t interested in this and his father knows that if he still hasn’t put his ego aside, he won’t be able to do the job his father is asking. Is Adam going to be able to do it? Will he be able to change? What do you think?
