The Young and the Restless Recap: Victoria Gives Chilling Testimony In Court
It all begins in the courtroom with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) telling the jury about her rocky relationship with her ex, JT Hellstrom. She recalls how JT suddenly arrived in Genoa City after separating from his wife, Mac. Victoria says that even though they rekindled their relationship, it didn’t take long for JT to become abusive, both mentally and physically. That’s when Michael (Christian LeBlanc) decides to show everyone footage of JT. Victoria says that she only hit him out of self-defense. She also says that she couldn’t take his abusive any longer, but JT refused to leave. She also admits that she wasn’t honest with anyone about what happened the night of his death. That’s because she was afraid that no one would believe her.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) can’t help but show just how angry he is when Victoria describes JT’s temper. Christine (Lauralee Bell) then cross examines her. Although she sympathizes with Victoria, she points out that she never had any bruises on her body. What’s more, the two also got engaged. Victoria explains that JT was also emotionally abusive and controlling. Michael then asks what would have happened if Nikki (Melody Scott Thomas) wouldn’t have intervened the night of his death. Victoria bluntly states that JT would have killed her instead.
Christine then tells the courtroom that the women killed JT and buried him, hoping that no one would ever find him. They were also happy that he was finally gone. She proclaims that Nikki is the one who murdered him, while Victoria and Sharon (Sharon Case) played a role in his death, too. Michael, however, goes over reasonable doubt and says that JT is not the victim here. Instead, it’s Victoria.
Back at their apartment, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) tells Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) that nothing ever happened between him and Sharon. Mia doesn’t believe him. She says that Rey can’t have Sharon anymore because she was arrested for murder. Otherwise, he would be back in her arms. Rey admits that he went to go see Sharon after Mia said Arturo’s name during a passionate love making session. Rey admits that he tried to save their marriage. Mia thinks there’s still hope left. Rey, however, thinks Mia is still in love with Arturo. He also can’t forgive her for what happened to Lola. He says that their marriage is over before leaving for the hospital. A heartbroken Mia cries alone.
