The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, February 22nd finds Nikki, Victoria and Sharon are in for a shock. They always knew that Phyllis was a woman that couldn’t be trusted, but they didn’t expect her to do this. Also, Rey thinks something is up with Mia as he tries to track down his sister’s attacker. Summer won’t leave Kyle alone and Mia and Abby decide to work together.

The Young and the Restless Recap: Phyllis Is Set Free, Rey Vows To Find Lola’s Attacker

It all begins when Nikki (Melody Scott Thomas), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Sharon (Sharon Case) all find out that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) threw everyone under the bus by confessing the who, what, where and why during the night of JT Hellstrom’s murder. Christine (Lauralee Bell) reveals that Gina is her star witness. All three ladies plead not guilty and were shocked when they found out that their bail was denied. To make matters worse, they watched in astonishment as Phyllis walked away free from the courtroom. Christine can’t hide the smile on her face as she knows that things are about to go down.

Meanwhile, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Arturo (Jason Canela) continue to worry about their baby sister as Lola (Sasha Calle) fights for her life. They are adamant that Kyle (Michael Mealor) needs to be kept away from the hospital. Also, Rey vows to catch his sister’s attacker. Even though he’s not on the case, he’s making it his personal mission to find the person who tried to kill his sister. Rey later finds out that Lola was wearing Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) jacket. He realizes that it was Abby who was meant to be attacked, not Lola.

Rey also notes that his wife Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) has been acting very bizarre lately. She didn’t tell him about her fight with Abby at the club. She’s also been telling him stories that don’t make sense. If that weren’t enough, she’s also been very clingy each and every time he sees her. Thankfully, Abby and Mia decide to put their differences aside for now, for the sake of Lola. They agree to bury the hatchet.

Kyle continues to try and make contact with Lola while trying to keep his distance from troublemaker Summer (Hunter King). Kyle was forced to listen to Summer and hear what she had to say when she tracked him down at the office. Summer tells him that they were always meant to be and that she loves him. Even if Lola does wake up, that won’t change her feelings towards him. Kyle listens to what she has to say, but squirms.
