‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) star Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) is making it no secret that he would love to see more of Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) on the canvas. And while their characters have definitely sparred in front of the cameras in the past, Jason says that’s not the case at all when they stop rolling. Here’s what he has to say.
As many fans already know, Eileen Davidson is considered a legend in the daytime television world. And because she is someone who is so easy to work with, Jason says that the show definitely needs much more of her. To be honest, we don’t know a lot of people who would disagree!

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in an interview, the actor put it this way, “I think we are a better show whenever Eileen Davidson is around. It doesn’t mean that were are not good without her, because we are great, but she just adds so much more. She brings a lot to the floor, not only for storyline but crew wise, too. She’s the first person to say good morning to everybody in the morning. She’s a professional and a great actress, too.”
Jason adds, “Eileen has a ton of history with the show so as soon as she comes on set, it just comes off of her in such a great way. You know you are dealing with somebody that has been around for a long time and definitely belongs here. She acts at a level that’s inspiring. Any time that she can be around here is a good day. At least we still get her every once in a while. Whenever I have worked with her it’s always been a good time. She’s one of our biggest assets.”
