The Young and the Restless’ Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) looked ravishing yesterday as she put on a display in her purple attire. Scott has been portraying the character of Nikki Newman for so long that many probably just know her by her on-screen name!
Early beginnings
In fact, the never-aging beauty has starred in The Young and the Restless since 1979. In the volatile world of soap opera comings and goings, that is probably equal to 3 lives, at least. We admire that stability, many a soap star have been yo-yoing up and down, left and right, from one soap to another, but Scott has remained committed to Y&R since her very early days. We commend Scott for her dedication to the show, for everything she’s done for the Soap community as well as for her looks and taste in clothes – she really is an ageless wonder!

Nikki is now a household name in The Young and the Restless world, but at one time things weren’t so rosy. She began her stint on the show as a promiscuous teen, and was later involved in a prostitution ring. But things have definitely turned around for her since her early days.
