In fact, there’s a new report that suggests the British Royal Family might find it very difficult to visit the United States again, and not just because it’s home to Meghan Markle, but because of all the royal drama that has gone down since Megxit. Here’s what you need to know.
The Windsor Family Might Have A Hard Time Visiting The U.S. Because Of Meghan Markle
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seemingly threw the royals under the bus in their epic interview with Oprah Winfrey, things haven’t been the same for their relationship, or the royal family’s relationship with the U.S. for that matter.
Royal expert Robert Jobson told GB News he believes the Sussexes might have strained relations between the U.K. and the U.S. because of all the mud slinging they’ve done in public.
He put it this way: “They still think the Royal Family are racist and all these things were said and I think it’s pretty poor for us. I think it’s going to be difficult actually for members of the Royal Family to go over to America. It’s all going to be about Harry and Meghan. Before, they were doing business with the great special relationship, trying to build relations with America and big trading partners – it’s all going to be about them.”
If that weren’t enough, Jobson also thinks that it’s Harry who might have caused the most damage between the Sussexes and the royal family, and not Meghan.
He said: “I think Harry actually has probably done more damage. He’s up there in terms of the modern world of the damage that’s been created, he’s up there with the abdication. In terms of the feedback we’ve been getting, the damage of the institution, and the potential, we haven’t even seen it all yet. We’ve got the book coming out, the same year that his grandmother is celebrating 70 years on the throne.”
