Not forgetting where you came from is an important thing for many celebrities, and realizing how hard they worked to get to where they are. This is especially true for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. We know the 7$ dollar, but his love for wrestling and the WWE is unmatched.
Johnson has spoken several times about his love and pride for wrestling and how it will always be a part of his life. Nearly 20 years ago, he defeated Chris Jericho for the WWE Heavyweight Championship and after a grueling match, claimed victory.
“Cool wrestling history on this day in 2001 ✊?
I became 8X @wwe heavyweight champ – wrestling one of the all time greats, @chrisjerichofozzy.
Chris and I had phenomenal matches all around the world (including one electrifying night in JAPAN ?? and one unforgettable night in HAWAII ❤️). Thank you for “the honors”, my brother.
Proudly cut my teeth and made my bones in the wild world of pro wrestling – learned some great, invaluable lessons I apply today for success in my business.
And life???#peopleschamp4L ✊?”

The Rock Flashes Back To 2001 In WWE Throwback With Chris Jericho
He went on to thank Jericho for the amazing matches, saying it was an “honor” wrestling with him. I grew up in the 90s watching WWF/WWE and The Rock was undoubtedly one of the larger than life wrestlers that stood out with his charisma. Dubbed ‘The People’s Champ’, he will always be that wrestler I knew and loved growing up.
Fans wrote on his post, “Love how you shine light on your WWE days. ONE MORE MATCH!!?”, “The People’s Champ”, and “You are one of the few amazing humans in this world that cares and has good values. I don’t do much on social media but I can see why you have so many people following you!”.
