Kenya Moore, (known for appearing on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’), and Marc Daly have split up on the back of a mediation session that failed to resolve their disputes.

In an official statement, Marc told The Root: “After recently attending mediation, Kenya and I have agreed to end our marriage. I will always have great care for her and look forward to amicably continuing to co-parent our daughter Brooklyn with an abundance of love and wisdom.”

The duo got married in 2017 and had their daughter (Brooklyn) a year later. However, marital problems led to the couple splitting up for the first time in 2019 after which mediation failed to resolve the disputes. At the time, Kenya told Us Weekly the following:

“It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband, Marc Daly. Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected, moving forward.”

The issues arose after rumours circulated that Marc had been cheating on Kenya. And yet, Kenya still admitted that she did have hope of things improving. She said: “I love my husband, but I think that we’re not operating from a good place right now, prior to announcing [our split]. But I do think that things could get back on track if you have two people that want to.”

And she was serious given that they planned on having children together: “It’s a conversation that we’re still trying to figure out, honestly. “But I really feel, more and more, that I do [want to have kids]. Time is ticking, and I want them to be close in age, and it’s a sensitive subject.”

It seemed that the couple tried everything to avoid the split. When speaking to the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen show, Kenya said: “I have not filed for divorce. He did file and withdrew it less than 24 hours later, so we’ve kind of gotten past that.”

But as history showed, it just delayed the inevitable. If you enjoyed reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
