‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers show that Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) behavior changed dramatically after Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) insisted on getting a divorce.
Because Hope has a history of using drugs to get through difficult situations, there is conjecture over whether she has turned back to substance usage, which might be the source of her delusions about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Her painful experience being held captive by Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) left her with long-lasting wounds and made her reconciliation with Liam more difficult.
In an attempt to find comfort, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) took Hope to a sex therapist, which led to Hope unintentionally becoming more and more dependent on anxiety pills. This addiction was most likely made worse by the turbulent relationship between Liam, Hope, and Steffy.

Hope’s battle with addiction was made worse by Liam’s indecisiveness toward her and Steffy during their turbulent relationship. Her past with Thomas, she was married to him once but learnt not to trust him because of his dishonest behavior, especially with regard to her daughter, combines to make her current behavior very different from her typical manner.
Hope is grateful for Thomas’s current efforts to help her with her clothing business, but she still has lingering suspicion towards him because of his previous offenses. She is even more distressed by Liam’s precipitous demands for a divorce after he sees Hope and Thomas sharing a kiss, especially in light of his own adultery.
Though he has never betrayed Liam, his steadfast determination to give her another opportunity stands in stark contrast to his own history of wrongdoing. Given her mental difficulty when her marriage ended, it’s unclear if Hope has once again turned to drugs as a coping method.
As a symptom of her inner conflict, this theory provides a reasonable explanation for her trance-like behavior while Thomas is around.
