‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (Y&R) Spoilers for January 2nd, 2020 indicate that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) may be looking on the sunny side of things regarding his marriage to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) soon. They’ve been at a terrible impasse, unable to come to a decision when it comes to his son Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) but it looks like there could be a break in the dam soon because Ridge has been thoroughly duped by Thomas once again and believes that his son has finally moved on to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). It also doesn’t help that whenever Thomas is with Zoe in public he tends to be very showy with his displays of affection, and there’s also the fact of the matter that Zoe was invited to the big Forrester Christmas dinner!

This will give Ridge the idea that maybe since Thomas seems to be over Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), that he and Brooke can have a chance at happiness again. Of course we know the truth that Thomas is definitely not over Hope and that he’s just playing everyone to get them to look the other way while he plots and schemes some more to get Hope back with him. This whole thing with Zoe is just a ruse, a very convincing ruse, so convincing that Thomas even went so far as to sleep with Zoe on the first date in order to convince everyone that he was done and over Hope and there was nothing to see here. (No judgement but wow that is fast.)

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers for January 2nd: Brooke is an eternal frustration wrapped in an enigma
Ridge has no idea about Thomas’s plan, and he certainly has no idea about Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) plan with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to take Thomas down using Zoe. Brooke knows about this plan however and she’s not that easily convinced that Thomas has actually moved on, much to Ridge’s frustration. He’ll wonder just what is wrong with Brooke, but that’s because he doesn’t have the full tea yet. Oh well.

Speaking of Hope, Thomas will make her uncomfortable again when he presents her with some kind of surprise. It may be a Christmas gift (please no more dresses. If it’s clothing just toss it into the fire, please, Hope. It’s how we grow. It’s how we learn.) or maybe it’s a new revelation about his new relationship that she just didn’t want to be privvy to. After all, he did wake up fantasizing that it was Hope in bed with him and not Zoe after they got done with their night of passion. Whatever the case, at one point Hope will be questioning herself, whether Thomas’s little gift was really all that weird or if her previous opinions of him have soured her for second chances.
